Been a long time since a Dierdre picture, even one so unrecognizable as this. Long story short, (literally) the book comes to a series of dreams portraying the death of Dierdre in the future, and to one where the roles are reversed: Dierdre is at Kyoto's gravesite, reminiscing. This dream comes about when she has thoughts of abandoning her predestined future, one where she knows her life is given in sacrafice to his. Without her sacrafice, she knows she'd be fulfilling this alternative destiny.
